The Trip to Shanxi
Last month, the firm organized a trip to Shanxi Province, which includes Pingyao, Wang's Grand Courtyard and Mian Mountain.
The trip is interesting. The highlight of Pingyao, I think, is the visit of traditional county government. There was a show of a traditional Chinese court hearing. It was about a family law case that the son refuse to raise his father. Below is a clip of this hearing. I have to admit, as the finance center in Qing Dynasty, the county government of Pingyao is so big that far beyond my mind.
We then visited Wang's Grand Courtyard. The family of Wang set up their courtyard against a hill. The courtyard is quite big.
You can have a visual tour in the below URL: http://www.sxwjdy.com/english/dyls.html
Afterwards, we settle in a Cliff Hotel in the Mian Mountian. It is such an exciting experience to live right beside a cliff.

Site Connection
Recently, blogspot is blocked by Chinese government's Great FireWall again. But fortunately, I learn the trick to visit blogspot from http://www.williamlong.info, a very good Chinese Blog site.
But, still there is a good news. Wikipedia can be connected again! May be it is the time to start to edit a Chinese version of law encyclopedia.
